Based on Senate's rejection, should Buhari drop EFCC boss Magu?

President Muhammadu Buhari forwarded a letter to the Senate to approve for confirmation, the appointment of Mr Ibrahim Magu as substantial chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC). The Senate, however, rejected the request, citing a letter from the Department of State Security (DSS) indicting Magu for wrongdoing as reason. The issue has thrown up squabbles within the Senate as well as the Presidency. So, what do you think? Should President Buhari drop Magu as EFCC chairman based on Senate’s rejection? Adama Barrow To Return To The Gambia Thursday Gambian President Adama Barrow will return to Banjul on Thursday by 4.00pm A tweet by Halifa Sallah, his aide, says that the new Gambian President is expected in Banjul by 4pm. The tweet appears to have settled questions on when the real-estate baron turned politician will assume state functions, after the departure of his predecessor, the long-time ruler Yahya Jammeh.
