Nigeria’ll Be Finished If Judiciary Is Politicised, Says CJN Onnoghen                                                         

 The Chief Justice of Nigeria-designate, Justice Walter Onnoghen, cautioned yesterday that Nigeria as a country would be finished anytime the judiciary allows itself to be politicized.

He, however, assured that on his watch as the new head of the judiciary, the independence of the third arm of government is guaranteed, as nobody will be able to pocket the judiciary.
Onnoghen disclosed this, while fielding questions from Senators during his confirmation hearing as the substantive Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN).

Adama Barrow To Return To The Gambia Thursday Gambian President Adama Barrow will return to Banjul on Thursday by 4.00pm A tweet by Halifa Sallah, his aide, says that the new Gambian President is expected in Banjul by 4pm. The tweet appears to have settled questions on when the real-estate baron turned politician will assume state functions, after the departure of his predecessor, the long-time ruler Yahya Jammeh.
